He said, "He has never called me in 30 years, he doesnt see actors who are not the part of his group and doesnt even say a hello. Hes not that kindhearted. Its a well-planned and smart move by Karan that hes releasing his film a week after mine," Pink Villa reported.
While talking about gracing Karan Johar's Koffee couch or not, he replied, "He must have said that it would be a matter of national respect for him if he calls Govinda, but he is releasing Varuns (Dhawan) film just a week after my film. He shows that hes very humble and innocent but woh mujhe David (Dhawan) se zyaada jealous and zyaada khatarnak lagta hai (but he is more dangerous and jealous than David Dhawan)".
Actor Varun Dhawan has always been compared to Govinda due to his naughty and flirtatious portrayal in movies, Govinda however doesn't feel any similarity between them. "How can he (Varun) be like me? To become Govinda, he needs to be innocent, uneducated and a poor village boy. Varun is already a son of a director. In the last six years, he hasn't done more than two films with his father, whereas I did 17 films with his father (David Dhawan)," he said.
Govinda will soon make her comeback in 'Aa Gaya Hero' slated to release on March 3, while Karan Johar will release Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer 'Badrinath ki Dulhania' just a week later.
