Increase in power tariff opposed

People of the Southern Punjab, particularly farmers, have expressed their strong dissatisfaction over the government's step of 10 percent increase in electricity prices and maintained the decrease in the gas price a mere hogwash in the approaching summer.
President of Anjuman Kashtkaran Punjab, Abdul Ali Zakir Usmani said the government had added 32 paisa per unit in tube-well tariff, while 49 paisa per unit for scarp tube-wells, resultantly the cost of agricultural production would increase.
