The NWFP Assembly Thursday condemned the death of innocent children during Basant, passed a unanimous resolution and held the federal government responsible for the violation of Supreme Court's orders.
The resolution moved by lady legislators of the treasury benches expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives during Basant. They said that the federal government by observing Basant at the time when the whole nation was shocked with Samjhota Express tragedy and deteriorating law and order in the country, not only committed contempt of court but also added salt to the wounds of the suppressed and the poor people.
