Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Mir Muhammad Naseer Mengal has said that there exists a lot of opportunities for the prospective investors in oil and gas projects and the government would facilitate the investment of Emperion company for the mutual advantage.
He was talking to a 4-member delegation from Emperion company of Norway headed by its Chief Executive, Marton Hald, which called on him here on Thursday to explore the investment potential in the oil and gas sector.
Welcoming the delegation, the Minister of State said the government is taking concrete steps to promote the petroleum sector on modern line in order to face the challenges emerging at global scenario due to the escalation of oil prices in the world market.
He said the country is endowed with vast hydrocarbon resources and all-out efforts were being made to explore them at a fast pace aimed at to overcome the energy shortfall and cutting down the oil import bill.
Mir Naseer Mengal said that government is providing attractive package of incentives to investors in the oil and gas sector and Emperion company of Norway would also take advantage of investment opportunities for the mutual benefit.
Chief Executive of Emerion company briefed the minister of state about his company's profile and its world-wide involvement in communication field. He said that Emperion has an expertise and updated technology in communication networking of oil fields and gas pipelines.
