As elsewhere, the World Kidney Day would be marked in the country on March 8. This was stated by the Executive Officer of the Kidney Foundation, Ms Shahnaz Ahad. She said that on the occasion, a camp would be organised at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi. This will be open to the public.
Diabetes, cholesterol and urine tests would be performed free of cost. Printed material would also be distributed among the visitors to create awareness about the kidney diseases and to apprise them of the precautionary measures.
Professor S A Jaffar Naqvi, Professor Azhar Farooqui and Dr Bilal Jamil will deliver lectures highlighting various aspects of kidney diseases and the importance of preventive measures.
