Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 126,484 tonnes cargo including 105,934 tonnes import, 20,550` tonnes export cargo and 4,662 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 71,484 tonnes dry cargo including 47,179 tonnes general cargo; 743 tonnes rice; 4,397 tonnes cement; 15,000 tonnes coal; 4,165 tonnes scrap and 55,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely Corinthiakos, Hyundai Highway and Y M Fortune sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz M.T. Shalamar, Tower Bridge, Iran Hesabi, Oel Aishwarya, Apl Dalian and CMB Talent are currently at the berths.
Seven ship namely Iran Hesabi, Global Prince, M.T. Shalamar, Apl Dalian, Arisbe, Coral and Jin Ace expected to sail on Friday, while another vessel viz Oel Aishwarya is expected to sail on Saturday.
Nine vessels viz Al-Marwah, Gallant Wave, Bunga Kenari, Comorin Pride, Mol Ability, Hayley Nadhi, Zhong Shan Men, Banga Lanka and Malakand are due to arrive on Saturday.

The cargo comprised of 16,548 tonnes diesel oil; 10,303 tonnes seeds and 17,864 tonnes containerised cargo. Two container ships namely DON Glovanni and Hammurabi sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of three ships carrying furnace oil and containers namely Maersk Arkansas, Stella and Rich Duchess are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two vessels viz C.V. Maersk Arkansas and M.T. Rich Duchess due to take berths on Friday. Two ships namely M.T. Yanaseni and M.V. Denden due to arrive on Friday, while three more vessels viz C.V. Saudi Abha, C.V. Lucien and M.T. Taxiarchis-I are due to arrive on Saturday.
