I am associated with these awards from the days when they were the Ad Club awards. And I think what we did was create a brand called 'Abby'. It was the first award after Filmfare to be a brand in itself.
The Ad Club awards function even then, was a finale at the end of the year where there was bonhomie of the marketing and advertising professionals. The Abby is a motivation- firstly, for the organisation- the ad agency and the client company and secondly, for the individual professional in the organisation.
