Former MPA of PPP from Rahim Yar Khan, Malik Saeed Manzar has joined Pakistan Muslim League. Malik Saeed announced his joining at a meeting with Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at Islamabad on Sunday, says a handout issued here.
Saeed reposed full confidence in the political vision and leadership qualities of PML President, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. State Ministers, Zafar Iqbal Warraich, Khusroo Bakhtiar, District Nazim, Rafiq Haider Laghari, MNAs Major Tanveer (Retd) and Raees Munir, were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that joining of political leaders especially parliamentarians belonging to PPP and other opposition parties in Pakistan Muslim League is the evidence of trust on the dynamic leadership and political wisdom of President General Pervez Musharraf and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
He said that our government is taking practical steps to eradicate poverty and backwardness from the Southern Punjab on priority basis and by providing maximum financial resources, the process of social development has been expedited. He further stated that we welcome the new entrants and we will participate in coming election jointly on the basis of performance.
He maintained that the founder party of Pakistan would achieve a landslide victory in next elections. He pointed out that Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan has distinction that three MPAs and one MNA belonging to PPP, after resigning their seats on account of the differences with their leadership, re-elected as PML candidates with historic majority from same constituencies by following the manifesto of PML.
Malik Saeed said that after being impressed with the welfare-oriented programme of PML, he whole-heartedly joined this party as the problems of people can only be solved by participating in development process.
