08 Mar, 2007

A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has approached the court against the decision of the district government Lahore announcing Lahore Police as capital police department without provision of facilities of capital city.
The petitioner submitted the notification along with necessary documents as demanded by the LHC office. The petitioner M D Tahir is of the view that the respondent government is implementing laws of capital police for punishing the police officials but not providing the facilities of the capital police.
He, therefore, prayed to the court to direct the respondent government to provide all the facilities of capital police to all the police officials working under district government.
