Expressing grave concern over the state of education in the country in general and in NWFP in particular, NWFP Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi has called upon the investors to make investment in education sector. This he said while addressing as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of National Institute of Management Sciences (NIMS) in Peshawar on Tuesday.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief secretary said that NWFP and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (Fata) were far behind than other parts of the country in all sectors particularly in education.
He said Peshawar also needed to have quality education institutions adding that people like Nasim Javed should come forward and make their marks in education sector. He said no nation could progress without developing the education sector.
The CS also mentioned some steps of the NWFP government for development of education sector, adding that 70 percent of the education budget was being spent on women education.
