Four bodies formed for police recruitment

Sindh Inspector General of Police Jahangir Mirza has constituted four high level committees for the appointment of contingent staff against vacancies in the police department. He underlined the importance of transparency and merit in appointments to these vacancies.
The four committees will ensure that recruitment of contingent staff is on the basis as laid down by him. The appointments will start from March 11. Each committee constituted for the selection comprises a chairman and two members. For Karachi region, committee's chairman is DIG Admin, for Hyderabad region Committee's Chairman is DIG Operations and for Sukkur region the committee's chairman is DIG Operations, Larkana.
While for recruitment to the vacancies in Karachi Central Police office, committee chairman is DIG Special Branch. The IGP has directed all the chairmen of these special committees to ensure the recruitment of the contingent staff against vacancies in all the regions on merit. He also directed that the committees' heads should personally supervise the selections for the contingency staff.
