A new OPD block would be constructed in Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) Lahore with the total cost of Rs 155.180 million. This was told in a meeting that reviewed the pace of work in Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
Punjab Communication and Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din Khan presided over the meeting here on Wednesday, disclose an official spokesman. Secretary C&W Muhammad Ahsan, Additional Secretary (Technical) Masood-ur-Rasool, Chief Engineer Works Muhammad Khalid Khokhar, Xen buildings and officers of health department also attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that the construction work of the new OPD block has been started and would be completed with the total cost of Rs 155.180 million. During the current fiscal year Rs 15.193 million have been earmarked for the project.
Chaudhry Zaheer said that the government is upgrading hospitals throughout the province to provide modern and better healthcare facilities to the people. He directed the chief engineer works to accelerate the pace of work and ensure utilisation of hundred percent budget allocated during the current fiscal year for this purpose.
