Punjab Commerce Minister Suhail Zafar Cheema has said that the provincial government is working on establishing 'district business centres' in all major cities to promote wholesale business in the province.
"We plan to establish wholesale district business centres in all major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujranwala," he told reporters at a luncheon, which was hosted in their honour, here on Friday.
Under this project, the congested wholesale markets such as Shahalam Market and Azam Cloth Market etc, would also be re-located in a way they could facilitate business and public too.
Moreover, he described that the government was to introduce one-widow facility for the convenience of foreign and local investors. They would be provided with all facilities under one roof such as obtaining NOCs and electricity connections etc, required for establishing their businesses, he added. Establishment of the facility was expected to be completed in a couple of months and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi would inaugurate it, he added.
