Punjab government has evolved a comprehensive strategy to provide political training to women representatives at all levels to further enhance their contribution to the nation building process.
Adviser to Chief Minister and Chairman Punjab Social Services Board PSSB, Mrs Saba Sadiq said this while addressing concluding ceremony of a training programme under 'Women Political School Project' attended by a number of women councillors, here on Friday. So far some 13,000 women gave been trained under this project.
Saba Sadiq appreciated that such projects of UNDP carried out in collaboration with the ministry for women development are beginning to pay dividends. Lauding efforts of women councillors at union, tehsil and district levels, she said they are contributing to creating political awareness among women.
