German ambassador Guntar Mulack appreciating France and Germany's efforts for compiling a joint history manual which comprises their culture sharing and even the war-fought memories, has suggested Pakistan and India to follow the same example for the betterment of bilateral ties.
He was speaking at the launching ceremony of the first ever 'Franco-German history manual' at Alliance Francaise here. The German ambassador said that although Germany and France had different cultures, language and traditions with a history of wars, yet they succeeded to have a joint manual of chronicles.
"Pakistan and India having similar cultures could easily follow the example of Germany and France, as human relations remain strong despite wars," he said.
He said reconciliation and friendship were shown by both Germany and France and the two countries made efforts through the history manual to promote their relations.
French ambassador Rgis de Belenet said the book would promote bilateral relations between France and Germany disturbed due to wars. He also termed the manual helpful for the leaders of Pakistan and India to follow it for promoting their relations as it was a good example to settle the conflicts.
