Five AJK Council members to boycott Kashmir conference

As many as five members of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council, including two Advisers to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on the council, have decided to boycott the upcoming Kashmir international conference. The AJK Council is sponsoring the two-day Kashmir international conference from March 16 to 17, at the Kashmir Institute of International Relations.
Sources told newsmen that Advisers to Prime Minister on AJK Council Nasim Ahmed Sarfaraz and Farooq Sikandar, and three other members of the council, - Chairman, Public Accounts Committee, AJK Council, Raza Shah Naqvi; Malik Pervez and Hameed Pothi, in a letter to the AJK Council Chairman, incharge minister and the Joint Secretary expressed their resentments for not consulting them over Kashmir international conference.
Sources said the five members had unanimously decided to boycott the conference owing to not having their say in consultation process regarding the arrangements of the conference and not having worth of their recommendations.
The members also expressed their resentments for ignoring them regarding February 5 Solidarity Day celebrations. The members mentioned in the letter that people of the Kashmir, who were part of the dispute, should not be excluded from consultation process.
