First aviation symposium on March 12

The current aviation scenario in Pakistan and marketing prospects in the sector for major and middle level players in the field will figure in the first-ever one-day Pakistan National Aviation Symposium-2007, being held at a local hotel on Monday.
The conference is being participated by all the 10 players in the aviation business, who include major and smaller manufacturers of aircraft, major and minor manufacturers of aircraft engines, besides representatives of all the airlines operating from Pakistan, the Civil Aviation Authority and financial institutions.
According to the conference sources, basically the participants will give information about Pakistani market and gain knowledge from market players outside, and the scenario that will emerge during the next 30 years cycle when big changes occur in the aviation sector, particularly emergence of new versions of aircraft.
The conference will be inaugurated by the CAA Deputy Director General and followed by presentation of papers on the CAA perspective; vision for future of aviation in Pakistan; perspective of Pakistani airlines. In the second session, presentations will be made by Airbus, Boeing and International Leasing Finance Corporation (ILFC), the major aircraft manufacturers.
The third session will be devoted to presentations by IAE, CFM, Rolls Royce, General Electric, Pratt and Whitney, the manufacturers of aircraft engines and by small aircraft manufacturers Embraer, Bombardier and ATR in the final session.
The conference officials said that besides participation by the CAA, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Airblue, Aero Asia and Shaheen Air, the Boeing would be represented by Miguel J. Miguel, ILFC by David de Mars, CFM International by Laurent Pierre, Airbus by Daniel Routier, International Aero Engines Juan Ceresa and Stuart, ATR by Marioi Scandone, Rolls Royace by Alastair Knox, General Electric by Muhammed Al-Lamadani, Pratt and Whitney by Hooman Razaei, Embraer by Wilson Nishida and Bombardier by Prashant Mahajan. PIA and Airblue will be represented by Kamran and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
