Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 93,075 tonnes cargo including 51,830 tonnes import, 41,245` tonnes export cargo and 3,619 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 69,675 tonnes dry cargo including 51,217 tonnes general cargo; 175 tonnes rice; 3,783 tonnes cement; 14,500 tonnes coal and 23,400 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Two ships namely Conti Esperance and Asari sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Ora Bhum, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Orient Independence, Oriental Sun and Red Sea Spirit are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Alex-D, Oel Esteem and Kuo Chang expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Orient Independence and Yu Lin Wan are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz M.T. Shalamar, Ever Govern and Zayed due to arrive on Saturday, while six ships namely Bow Clipper, Wadi Al-Rayan, Soon Fu, Independent Spirit, .Aka Bhum and Wan Hai-303 are due to arrive on Sunday. Three ships namely Al-Maqwa, Gulf Bridge and Caribbean Carrier are due to arrive on Monday.

Container ship namely ACX Margurite sailed out to sea on Saturday morning. Two vessels viz C.V. Maersk Arkansas and M.T. Eastern Oasis are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon.
A total of three ships carrying fertiliser, general cargo and containers namely CMA CGM Rose, Thor Swan and Panagia are currently at the outer anchorage. Four ships namely C.V. CMA CGM Rose, C.V. MSC Dymphna, M.V. Thor Swan and M.V. Panagia due to take berths on Saturday.
M.V. Tai Prosperity due to arrive on Saturday, while nine more ships namely C.V. MSC Carlia, C.V. Xiang Wan, C.V. Sima Paya, C.V. MSC Aurora, M.T. Oriental Miho, M.V. Captain George-L, M.T. Al-Soor-II, C.V. Jebel Ali and M.T. Al-Mukhtara are due to arrive on Sunday.
