'Stable policies enhance country's image'

Stability and consistency in policies is pre-requisite for national prosperity and economical achievements, being conscious of these facts the government has stepped up its endeavour in the right direction, Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Salim Saifullah Khan said on Sunday.
Talking to APP here, the minister said today Pakistan's effective role at the international level is highly appreciated which has been reflective of its level-headed policies.
He said these policies at the global level aim at ensuring peace and stability which is must for the prosperity and development of the whole South Asian region.
Referring to achievements of government on economic fronts the minister said, "Pakistan is now an investors-magnet country which is evident from wide array of foreign investors anxious to broaden their periphery of investment."
Saifullah said working of democratic institutions in the country also bolstered country's image as the whole world acknowledge that power has been transferred to the grassroots level where the true public representatives have full freedom to 'have a say in country's affairs'.
He said in the upcoming general elections PML will emerge as single majority party with heavy mandate. The days of those politicians are over now who kept people hostage for their vested interests, he added.
Referring to other steps the minister said media in the country is enjoying full freedom. Conducive environment in the country encouraged a large number of media outlets which are beaming their programmes and giving equal opportunity to people of all thoughts to express their views on various national and international issues, he added.
