Benazir supports struggle of judiciary

Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has directed the Party's Parliamentary leaders and provincial presidents to immediately call meetings of respective groups and councils to determine line of action to show solidarity with the judiciary.
According to the spokesman of PPP the chairperson has sent a directive to all the leaders and has called upon them to immediately get together and formulate proposals for a cogent line of action for expressing solidarity with the judiciary.
The Party leaders have also been directed to contact the country's leading lawyers for evolving a joint strategy, he said. Benazir Bhutto who is in the United States has already said that the sudden suspension of the Chief Justice appears to be an attempt to influence the judiciary by pressuring it through the removal of the Chief Justice and "had alarmed the bar associations and political parties".
