Pakistan Democratic Party Chief Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmed said on Monday that March 9 was the 'darkest day' in Pakistan's history, when an unconstitutional ruler removed the head of a respectable institution in an unconstitutional manner.
Talking to newsmen here he said Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry was the first Supreme Court chief justice held hostage and put under house arrest. Nawabzada, who is also the Vice President of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy, said the government had ruined all democratic institutions in the country.
