'Joint mechanism being evolved to resolve issues'

A joint mechanism is being evolved to promote bilateral trade between Pakistan and USA by resolving customs and other business related issues then and there.
Keith C Rayan, Attache US Department of Home Land Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said this while addressing the meeting of businessmen of Faisalabad at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).
He said that Pakistan and the USA are enjoying cordial business relations since long, however, some hurdles and bottlenecks have appeared due to the recent security arrangements.
He said that a scanner has already been installed at Port Qasim for expeditious clearance of all goods shipped to various ports of USA. He termed Port Qasim as ideal port from the security point of view. Earlier, Muhammad Ayub Sabir, President, FCCI in his address of welcome explained the problems being confronted by the business community in getting US visa.
