National Assembly body concerned at illegal occupation of AJK property

Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas headed by Pir Muhammad Aslam Bodla, Chairman visited Pounch House, Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
The committee expressed concern over the illegal occupation of the property of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and directed the ministry to take effective measures to vacate the precious land from the illegal occupants.
The Committee also directed to expedite the cases of AJK property pending in different courts for early decisions to avoid further losses. Earlier, Major Tahir Iqbal (Retd), Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas apprised the Committee about the AJK property in Pakistan.
He informed that negotiations with the illegal occupants were underway to avoid further litigation and its early solution, adding, "hopefully we would be able to vacate the land from the illegal occupants very soon". The meeting was attended by Tahri Iqbal, Minister for KANA and MNAs-Krishan Bheel Advocate, Israrul Ebad Khan, Rukia Khanum Soomro, Maulvi Abdul Halim, Mrs Rubina Saadat Qasim Khani, Pir Muhammad Shah Khagga and others.
