NWFP Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Muhammad Idrees has said that MMA government has taken concrete steps for the promotion of trade activities and enhancing the job opportunities. He also mentioned about attractive incentives for the trader being provided trader by the government.
He was talking to a representative of delegation from shopkeepers and traders community that called on him at his office Peshawar on Tuesday. He discussed him the problems and demands mostly relating to taxes, encroachments and civic facilities.
While issuing directives to the concerned authorities on the spot for resolving many of the problems the minister also assured for maximum facilities to the traders. The representative also cautioned that local government officials involved in creating hurdles for shopkeepers and small entrepreneurs would be severely dealt with and given exemplary punishment.
The minister, however, said that citizens including the traders could directly approach him and bring any complaint in his notice that was not resolved by the concerned officials. He said all the ministers of MMA government were sincerely working for solving problems of the masses with the spirit of service delivery at their doorsteps and their offices and homes were open round the clock for this purpose.
Sardar Idrees said that MMA government under the dynamic and wise leadership of Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani had made the NWFP a cradle of peace and fraternity owing to its people-friendly and realistic approach wherein supremacy of law and merit had been ensured in all sectors of life.
He assured that the environment for the local as well as foreign investment was quite congenial and the investors should fully avail all such opportunities. To a question, the minister said that his government would ensure implementing its realistic policies towards promotion of investment and industrialisation in NWFP.
The delegation lauded the pro-people friendly policies of MMA government and assured all out support and co-operation in realising its welfare strategies.
