SOS Children`s Village of Pakistan is a private social welfare organisation dedicated to the care of orphans and abandoned children. It is affiliated with the SOS Kinderdorf International of Austria and was established in Balochistan in May 2005 in a rented house. Later Government of Balochistan allotted five acres of prime land, where 15 houses, administrative blocks, youth hostels and servant quarters are yet to be constructed.
The special feature of SOS Children`s Villages is that they are not traditional orphanages. They provide children with a homely, warm and family environment. Special emphasis is placed on teaching the children strong moral values and skills that will enable them to become productive and responsible citizens.
