Former Foreign Secretary Shamshad Ahmad Khan, while terming the composite dialogue process a structural mechanism, has said that it is irreversible. It was a good process and could not be derailed on the pretext of incidents like Mumbai train blasts, Shamshad told Voice of Germany on Wednesday.
To a question, he said there was a host of issues between India and Pakistan and it would take some time to resolve them, adding the parties should go ahead seriously by pursuing a realistic approach.
Commenting on the ongoing foreign secretary level meeting between the two countries, he said it was a very important event. He said peace and security and Kashmir issues were on the agenda of the talks, adding hopefully the parties would move the process ahead in this connection.
