The "Tetra Pak Women's Awareness Campaign," which launched in October 2006, flew sky-high in February as it was able to enlighten 5,000 women in Karachi. Tetra Pak, the global food processing and packaging company launched this campaign to create milk awareness in women of Karachi to combat their low-calcium intake.
Nousheen Aziz, a qualified consultant dietician and trainer, was appointed to conduct sessions for women of over 18 years of age on the benefits of milk and the diseases that arise due to low calcium consumption particularly osteoporosis.
Tetra Pak's sessions were conducted at various locations in Karachi with the aim of reaching out to women from all walks of life. The success of the Tetra Pak's awareness campaign is evident from the massive feedback that it received and the increasing number of organisations expressing keen interest to participate in this campaign.
