Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 77,687 tonnes cargo including 59,939 tonnes import, 17,748` tonnes export cargo and 2,597 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 44,687 tonnes dry cargo including 25,056 tonnes general cargo; 3,403 tonnes rice; 4,228 tonnes cement; 12,000 tonnes coal and 33,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo Four ships namely Y M Sun, Harmony, Al-Maqwa and Banga Lanka sailed out to sea during the report period. Four vessels viz Oel Aishwarya, Apl Dalian, Splandour and Gemini are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Chitral and Brave John expected to sail on Friday, while four vessels viz Splandour, Gemini, Hayley Nadhi and Oel Aishwarya are expected to sail on Saturday.
Seven vessels viz Ghetty Bottiglieri, M.T. Johar, Hayley Nadhi, Cosco Panama, Islamabad, San Jiang Kou and Leopard due to arrive on Friday, while six ships namely Bunga Terasek, Lydia Oldendorf, Orient Independence, Oel Esteem, Kota Merdesa and Pacific Express are due to arrive on Saturday.

The cargo comprised of 49,618 tonnes diesel oil; 4,487 tonnes fertiliser; 12,321 tonnes iron ore; 10,883 tonnes seeds; 2,513 tonnes chemicals and 29,835 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships namely M.T. Al-Soor-II, M.T. Sinar Agra, M.V. Captain George-L and C.V. Ibn Battotah sailed out to sea during the report period. Two vessels viz C.V. Xiang Wan and M.T. Nord Neptune are expected to sail on Friday. A total of two ships carrying furnace oil and containers namely CSAV Ningbo and Fair Spirit are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely C.V. CSAV Ningbo and M.T. Fair Spirit due to take berths on Friday. Chemicals carrier M.T. Chemstar Seven due to arrive on Friday, while six more ships namely C.V. CMA CGM Tulip, C.V. Sima Pride, C.V. MSC Samia, M.T. Emerald Park, M.T. Gemini and M.V. Feng Shan Hai with containers, edible oil and coal are due to arrive on Saturday.
