Pakistan and Malaysia to abolish visa for officials, envoys

Pakistan and Malaysia have decided to sign an agreement to abolish visa requirements for diplomatic and official passport holders, sources in the Interior Ministry told Business Recorder.
The sources said that the federal cabinet in its meeting on December 21, approved in principle, negotiations for draft agreement on the abolition of visas for diplomatic and official passport holders of both the countries.
They said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has now forwarded a negotiated draft agreement furnished by the Malaysian government, which will be singed after the approval of federal cabinet. The sources further said that Pakistan would ratify an agreement to establish diplomatic relations with San Marino.
The agreement which was signed on April 12 last year stipulates that it will come into force upon the date of the last notification by both States of the completion of their internal procedure necessary for its entry in diplomatic relations.
According to a letter received by the foreign office from Pakistan's embassy in Rome, the government of San Marino is keen to establish diplomatic relations with Pakistan and stressing for completion of internal procedures for early ratification of the agreement.
