CDGR to start work on REIP soon

The city district government Rawalpindi (CDGR) has decided to start the work on Rawalpindi Environment Improvement Project (REIP) in collaboration with the Nazims and Naib Nazims.
In this connection the district government has asked the Nazims, Naib Nazims and councillors of all the union councils of the city to submit their proposals for laying a new sewerage line in the city under this ADB-funded mega project.
Sources told this scribe that the Asian Development Bank had approved Rs 5.142 billion for the second phase of the Rawalpindi Environmental Improvement Project (REIP) and laying of new sewerage line was a part of the project. Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Rawalpindi has also started survey of the existing sewerage lines after which it would present a final plan before the city district government for laying new sewerage line in the city.
