Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 92,668 tonnes cargo including 53,502 tonnes import, 39,166` tonnes export cargo and 2,909 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 51,868 tonnes dry cargo including 48,672 tonnes general cargo; 1,001 tonnes rice; 2,195 tonnes cement and 40,800 tonnes oil/liquid cargo Five ships namely Kama Bhum, San Jiang Kou, Victory-1, M.T. Johar and Caribbean Carrier sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz African Cobra, Asian Queen, Ivan Makarin and M.T. Swat are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Ghetty Bottiglleri and Oel Esteem expected to sail on Tuesday, while three vessels viz M.T. Swat, Zayed and African Cobra are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz Apl Yokohama and Hyundai Stride due to arrive on Tuesday, while five ships namely Kota Gunawan, Y M Faha, Iran Baabaei, Corinthiakos and Pacific Arrow are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 45,727 tonnes diesel oil; 4,568 tonnes edible oil; 2,585 tonnes iron ore; 2,001 tonnes chemicals; 4,897 tonnes wheat and 30,617 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely C.V. Maersk Corolina, M.T. Word Majesty and M.T. Chemstar Ace sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Container vessel viz C.V. Sima Pride is expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of five ships carrying edible oil, diesel oil, chemicals, Coke, coal and containers namely Hyundai Stride, MSC Socotra, Gemini, Cap Anos and Feng Shan Hai are currently at the outer anchorage. Four ships namely C.V. Hyundai Stride, C.V. MSC Socotra, M.T. Gemini and M.V. Feng Shan Hai due to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Oil tanker M.T. Regent due to arrive on Tuesday, while two more ships namely M.T. Jo Oak and C.V. ACX Jasmine are due to arrive on Wednesday.
