Upward trend persisted on the grain market on Wednesday as buyers covered their urgent needs, dealers said. On the cereal side moong from Punjab gained Rs 100 to Rs 3750, masoor from Australia followed suit and rose by Rs 300 to Rs 3300, masoor Canada gained Rs 350 to Rs 3250, they said.
Wheat Mexipak old and new both types shed Rs 5 to Rs 1205 and Rs 1220 in process of trading, dealers said. On the grams side gram Australia picked up Rs 50 to Rs 2750-2900, dealers said. Other items did not move any side during the low business, they said.
