Lahore Bishop greets nation on Pakistan Day

Pakistan Day is not only a landmark in the country's history, it is also a beacon of light for all people who are struggling for their freedom. This was stated by the Bishop of Lahore and Moderator, Church of Pakistan, Dr Alexander John Malik, in a felicitation message to the nation issued here on Thursday.
He prayed for the progress and solidarity of Pakistan, and said that "as a nation we should all dedicate our lives for the progress and prosperity of our country and according to the dream of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah."
Meanwhile, the Church of Pakistan, Lahore diocese, has announced that a special thanksgiving service will be held in connection with the Pakistan Day on Friday at Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, the Mall, Lahore. The Lahore Bishop will lead special prayers for the progress and prosperity of the country.
