Kashmiris celebrate Pakistan Day

With a dazzling zest to affix their destiny with Pakistan, the Kashmiris dwelling on either side of the Line of Control celebrated the sanctified Pakistan Day on Friday in a befitting manner.
It was a state holiday across AJK and special prayers were offered for the integrity, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and for freedom of occupied Jammu Kashmir from the Indian subjugation. The day was marked with 21 gun salute in the AJK metropolis. National flag of Pakistan and AJK flag hoisted atop various private and public buildings.
Various private social, political and public representative organisations held special programmes to celebrate the day. All the three Azad Jammu Kashmir radio stations of Mirpur, Muzaffarabad and Tararkheil and AJK TV broadcast special programmes highlighting the importance of the day besides broadcasting special messages of the AJK President Raja Zulqarnian Khan and the Prime Minister Sardar Atique Ahmed Khan.
The special Pakistan Day ceremonies were held in all small and major cities of the liberated territory. Speakers in these ceremonies highlighted the importance of the day with the renewal of the pledge to continue all possible individual and collective efforts for the stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
