Export details not required at time of filing refund claims

The Collector Sales Tax (Enforcement) Shafqat Mahmood has said exporters are not required to provide their export details at the time of filing refund claims under RCPS.
Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Tanners Association which met him at his office, Shafqat assured to process and finalise the Sales Tax (ST) refund Claims of PTA members without loss of time, objections have been removed and requisite documents provided.
He explained to PTA delegation that the claimants could check the status of their claims and objections, if any, from the computer laced at Sales Tax (ST) office reception.
Earlier, Saqib Saeed Masood, Chairman PTA (SZ), who was leading the delegation, informed the Collector Sales Tax that refund claims of PTA members amounting to Rs 20 million were blocked in the Collectorate and exporters are facing liquidity problem. He thanked the Collector for his assurance for early settlement of Refund Claims. The Tanners delegation demanded simplification of procedure for settlement of claims of small amounts.
