PESS demands dissolution of parliament

25 Mar, 2007

Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) has demanded dissolution of the parliament and holding free, fair and transparent elections to save country from the present constitutional crisis.
It also demanded of the President Pervez Musharraf to bifurcate the offices of President and Chief of Army Staff as present arrangement has inevitably put the defence institutions in jeopardy.
"Country's defence is in danger as a result of this arrangement as defence institutions are receiving all the flak for governments omissions and follies," said the PESS president Lieutenant General Faiz Ali Chishti (Retd) here on Saturday.
