NAB Sindh arrests Picic official

National Accountability Bureau (Sindh) has arrested an official of Picic Commercial Bank Limited, Muddasir Ahmed Khan on charges of misappropriation, corruption practice and misuse of authority.
According to details, cashier Picic Commercial Bank Limited Malir Branch, Muddasir Ahmed Khan was involved in misappropriation of Rs 14.1 million from bank accounts of account holders through parallel banking and also found accused of shortage of cash from safe.
He was produced before the Accountability Court Karachi for remand, which has been granted till April 6, 2007. It may be mentioned here that in June 2006 accused went into a voluntary return agreement with NAB, subsequently he had defaulted the agreement after that the competent authority has issued his non-bailable arrest warrants and he was arrested.
National Accountability Bureau Sindh has also arrested another accused Ramesh Udeshi former secretary land utilisation, involved in a reference of illegal allotment of prime land.-PR
