NED University to improve interaction with industry

The NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi is working on establishing and improving its interaction with the industry. This was announced by the institution's Director of Industrial Liaison, Professor M. Naim Ansari, on Saturday.
He said that the purpose of the exercise is to enhance the utilisation of engineering knowledge and provide the students some awareness of practical work in the industries before the completion of their studies. Professor Ansari pointed out that the Directorate of Industrial Liaison NED University is arranging internships for the students in the related industries. The NED is planning the summer internships from June 4 to July 14.
The industries have been asked to consider utilising the services of a few individuals or suitable groups according to the discipline from the third year students.
The students are available from the disciplines of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, computer and information system engineering, computer science and information technology, urban engineering, civil engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering, textile engineering, architecture and planning, telecommunication engineering.
