The government should form a strategy to transfer benefits of the strong economy to masses and make sure provision of basic facilities to them, said Dr Hasan Sarosh Akram, President, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Saturday.
As a result of prudent policies of the government, country's economy has grown but no benefits have been passed on to the common man, he said while chairing a meeting held at the RCCI auditorium to consider proposals for next budget.
Sarosh said the fiscal policy is instrumental in the economic growth of the country and government should create conducive atmosphere for the private sector to involve it in the economic activities.
Easy tax system, decrease in rate of duties on raw materials and machinery would help private sector flourish besides helping government to generate more revenue. Government should ease the tax system and help industrialists make their products cost-effective for earning a good market space in international market. Facilitating the industrialists would help increase the exports thus attaining the export target set by the government, the RCCI president said.
