No change in SJC composition except Justice Raza: ACJ

Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan Rana Bhagwandas said there would be no change in the composition of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), except Justice Sardar Raza who would be no more member of Council of the presence of three senior most judges of the Supreme Court in accordance of the provision of the Constitution.
The Acting Chief Justice said this on Sunday on his arrival here from Karachi while responding to a question raised by media men regarding the composition of the SJC.
He was received at the airport by Acting Registrar Muhammad Ali and senior officials of the Supreme Court. Justice Rana Bhagwandas had assumed office as ACJ according to the notification issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights on March 22.
Asked about his possible meeting with Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Rana Bhagwandas said, "This is a question of such type, which has no answer." Justice Rana Bhagwandas also declined to answer to some questions pertaining to time limit of the proceedings of the SJC and other related matters.
