Punjab government releases Rs 20 million for remote areas

Punjab government has released funds of Rs 20 million for the reconstruction and repair of roads, and installation of 12 electric poles and two transformers in Chaudhry Town area, Liaquatpur, said Punjab parliamentary secretary food.
Inaugurating a road project in the colony, Chaudhry Mahmood Ahmed said elevation works were underway to bring facilities to people in remote areas.
He said the federal government had also given approval for the electric water coolers and a wheelchair for Liaquatpur railway station, as well as the stoppage of two express trains at the station from April 15 onwards.
