26 Mar, 2007

All Additional Superintendents of Police and Sub Divisional Police Officers have been directed to conduct patrolling daily in their respective areas.
Regional Police Officer, Sheikhupura Region, DIG, Muhammad Anwar Virk told APP here on Sunday that all the Additional Superintendents of Police of Kasur, Sheikupura, Okara, Nankana Sahib districts will also conduct regular patrolling in their districts besides SDPOs in their sub divisions.
He said the patrolling positions of the Additional SPs and SDPOs in their areas will be checked through wireless network and those showing negligence will be taken to task. He said District Police Officers will monitor the overall performance of their Additional SPs and SDPOs and submit weekly report to regional office.
DIG directed the DPOs to assign patrolling duties to DSPs, Hq, Highway Patrolling Posts, Investigation Hq and Traffic once and twice a week instead of deploying daily on patrolling. It was brought to the notice of DIG that Additional SP, Kasur has deployed four DSPs of Hq, Investigation Hq, Highway Patrolling Posts and Traffic on daily patrolling from 6.pm to 11.pm instead of deploying concerned SDPOs.
DSP Investigation Hq and Traffic have been deployed on patrolling duty without providing them fuel for official vehicles who cover 200 km daily from Kasur to Chnnian and Pattoki and return to Hq in midnight. DIG directed the DPO Kasur to activate the SDPOs of these areas instead of sending DSPs from Kasur.
