Government exploiting resources to bring socioeconomic uplift: minister

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Amanullah Khan Jadoon has said that the government was exploiting all available resources to bring rapid socio-economic development in the country.
He expressed these views while addressing at the inaugural ceremony of Sui gas supply project for villages Banda Khair Ali and Dehri of Abbottabad district. The project will be completed at a cost of Rs 27 million, says a message received here on Sunday.
The minister said the government has allocated an amount of Rs 415 billion in the current fiscal year for the uplift projects. He said completion of these projects would bring revolutionary changes in the lifestyle of the people at an accelerated pace.
The minister said the government was taking concrete steps to provide gas, electricity and safe drinking water facility for all by the end of year. He said work on Hasanabdal-Mansehra dual-carriageway project would be started soon.
Jadoon said that all out efforts were being made to provide Sui gas facility to the earthquake affected areas of Muzaffarabad, Balakot, Rawalakot and Bagh which would provide great relief to the people.
Speakers on the occasion PML parliamentary leader in NWFP Assembly, Mushataq Ahmed Ghani, Tehsil Nazim Abbottabad, Saifullah Khan Jadoon and elected representatives of the areas highlighted the government's efforts for providing basic facilities of life to the remote and backward areas on priority.
