GSK gets top MAP award

GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan (GSK) has bagged the highest Corporate Excellence Award of the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) in the overall business and industrial category.
The award was presented to GSK Managing Director Salman Burney by Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro, who was the chief guest at the 24th Corporate Excellence Award Ceremony held here. GSK is the leading pharmaceutical company of the country.
The prestigious MAP Corporate Excellence Awards are deemed to be the most objective awards in the corporate sector of Pakistan. Leading Pakistani companies are adjudged by independent auditors for their overall management performance in corporate governance, marketing, planning, production, research and development, corporate social responsibility as well as financial results. Awards are given in three categories - financial and overall business and industrial category. GSK was ranked the overall best company.
The Corporate Excellence Award was instituted by the Management Association of Pakistan in 1982 with the objective of recognising the best managed companies and creating a sense of competition in the corporate sector for achieving excellence.-PR
