Preparations for Eid Milad in full swing

Various religious, and social organisations have started preparations in the metropolis as the day of the 12 Rabi-ul-Awal is approaching nearer to facilitate Karachiites in celebrating the holy day with religious fervour and solemnity.
Every nook and corner of the metropolis can be seen illuminated. A large number of religious organisations have set-up main camps at Numaish Chowrangi and small camps outside almost every mosque of the city.
The provincial departments as well as town administration have taken various steps to facilitate the citizens on the eve of Jashn-e-Eid Milda-un-Nabi (Peace be upon him). In this regard, Orangi Town Naib Nazim Shahid Bashir on Tuesday visited different routes of the processions, mosques and other areas to review the arrangements. He directed concerned officials to immediately repair damaged water and sewerage lines.
He also directed them to replace out of order streetlights in the areas, besides ensuring smooth flow of potable water to the citizens. TMO Qamar Shaikh and UC Nazims and Councillors were also present.
Landhi Town Nazim Dr Irshad Ahmed said his town would celebrate Eid Mild-un-Nabi (PBUH) with traditional zeal and fervour. Speaking to a meeting called to review arrangements, he directed authorities concerned to complete all arrangements including cleanliness around all mosques and place of religious gatherings, provision of lights in the area and spray of lime by 9th of Rabi-ul-Awal. He asked them to ensure close co-ordination and be in constant touch with religious scholars, so that a peaceful and healthy environment could be made. Landhi Town has also set up a complaint center with number 021-5035729 that would work round the clock and receive public complaints.
Jamshed Town Nazim Muhammad Arif Ajakia along with UC 2 Nazim Muhammad Farooq, Naib Nazim Muhammad Akram Mughal and others paid a long visit of 5 hours to review the arrangements kept in view of upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
Acting Malir Town Nazim Sharafat Ali said more than 500 streetlights were being installed in the Moinabad, Model Colony, Hashim Road, Muhammadi Dera, Sahabzada Goth, Malir 15, Baraf Khana, S1 Area, Liaqat Market, Token Stop, Tanki Stop, Saudabad and others areas of his town. He also visited various town areas to review arrangements including cleanliness, replacement of streetlights and carpeting of roads and others.
DTO (M&A) briefed him that installation of streetlights around all mosques; main roads had been completed while the town administration was installing streetlights in other areas. Lyari Town Nazim Malik Muhammad Fayaz visited various areas and inspected installation of streetlights.
