Minister takes aerial view for country's fourth port

The federal minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghauri took an aerial view of Sonmiani Bay to identify the site for country's proposed fourth port, the Allah Din Port, as announced earlier by President General Pervez Musharraf during the inaugural ceremony of Gwadar Port.
The minister was also accompanying the chairman KPT Vice Admiral (Retd) Ahmad Hayat. General Pervez Musharraf will lay the foundation stone of the port by the end of the year.
Sonmiani Bay is the Island with beautiful beaches with sufficient space to develop a modern coastal port city for business, tourists and industrial projects is located in Balochistan about 75 kilometres west of Karachi.
The minister said the federal government was looking for meaningful development and uplift of the area, which would bring benefits to the people of Balochistan, business and trade community of the country. The project aims at developing a modern coastal city in Balochistan with tourism, housing and industrial development opportunities. It is considered timely in view of the projected growth in Asian markets.-PR
