Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz vice-chancellor of the university of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore has constituted a committee to suggest modifications in the curricula for DVM degree programme to bring it up to the international standards and modern needs of the livestock sector.
The committee consists of Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Dean Faculty of Bio-Sciences, Dean Faculty of Animal Production and Technology, Dean Faculty of Livestock Business Management, Dean Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture and all chairmen of teaching departments. The committee will identify deficiencies and overlapping to suggest revisions in the existing curricula, keeping in view the PVMC requirements.
It will also suggest training needs for enhancing communication skills of the graduates and to train the students on the state-of-art technology required in their respective disciplines. The committee will prepare its recommendations in consultations with stakeholders and submit the report within one month.
