Lawyers urged to boycott courts on April 3

The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) in emergency meeting presided over by President Ehsan Bohan asked the bar members to boycott the courts on April 03 and reach Supreme Court building Islamabad.
The bar members Ahmed Awais, Khawar Mehmood, Azmat Ullah, Shahid Iftikhar and others addressed the meeting and asked the bar members to show unity among their ranks and continue their struggle against the suspension of Chief Justice Pakistan and independence of judiciary. They said that countries could exist only due to independent judiciary and added that lawyers' community will never compromise on rule of law and fundamental rights of the people of Pakistan.
They said bar members from Karachi to Khyber are united and will not allow the rulers to weaken judiciary. They appreciated the political leaders and workers and traders who expressed their solidarity with the bar and its members in their struggle for independence of judiciary.
They called upon the bar members to reach Islamabad on April 03 to express their solidarity with the suspended Chief Justice of Pakistan and hold a peaceful procession before the Supreme Court building at Islamabad.
