Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 76,566 tonnes cargo including 53,540 tonnes import, 23,026` tonnes export cargo and 4,499 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 76,566 tonnes dry cargo including 59,019 tonnes general cargo; 2,745 tonnes rice; 4,200 tonnes cement; 10,602 tonnes coal and no oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Apl Jebel Ali, Harmony, Cma Cgm Ebony and Al-Wajba sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Kota Perkasa, Cma Cgm Ebony, Al-Wajba, Hyundai Sprinter, Y M Moon, Nyzdan, Soon Fu, Oel Esteem and African Pal are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Hyundai Sprinter, Islamabad, Nyzdan, Kota Perkasa and Y M Moon are expected to sail on Thursday.
One vessel viz Brio Bong due to arrive on Thursday, while seven ships namely Oel Aishwarya, Iran Hesabi, Ltc Calvin P Titus, Pacific Pioneer, Sea Princess, Lady Sama and Global Union are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 47,568 tonnes diesel oil; 2,472 tonnes edible oil; 10,860 tonnes coke; 6,867 tonnes wheat; 2,401 tonnes cement and 3,553 tonnes containerised cargo. Container vessel Nedlloyed America sailed out to sea during the report period.
Two vessels viz C.V. Global Union and M.T. Warbah are expected to sail on Thursday. Container vessel Al-Wajba is currently at the outer anchorage and due to take berth on Thursday. Two vessels viz C.V. ACX Lavender and C.V. Xiang Wan due to arrive on Friday, while two more ships namely C.V. MSC Palermo and C.V. Gothenburg Express are due to arrive on Saturday.
