Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Chairman Tariq Kirmani, who tendered his resignation in the past twice and third time again a few days back, has been asked to continue till the matter is finally decided by the competent authority.
This was stated by a PIA spokesman while referring to reports appearing in a section of the press as well as through comments in letters. The spokesman pointed out that the PIA chairman offered resignation during October 2006 on account of personal considerations plus other factors concerning Corporation''s financial health that was attributable to imprudent policies of past 2-3 decades, having political ramifications.
However, it was not accepted. He again offered resignation during January 2007 on personal considerations and it was not accepted.
